Sneak Peak from The Grand Tour: Lochdown
Locked up in Britain by Covid, Jeremy, Richard and James embark on a Lockdown Special to pay tribute to the great 1970s American cars they saw on TV shows as children. Also to find out why these great cars never got off the ground in Britain, given that their fathers all drove terrible Austin Allegros.
Road trip through Scotland
Behind the wheel of a Cadillac Coupe De Ville, a Lincoln Continental, and a Buick Riviera, the three hosts take their iconic Detroit machines on a road trip through Scotland’s beautiful countryside. And even though they’re on home soil, this closing trip turns out to be one of their funniest, most action-packed and most charming adventures in years.
Along the way, they wreak havoc on the old streets of Edinburgh. They enjoy a hilarious, tire-pushing race with Abbie on the track, before setting out to conduct a wild Cold War shootout between the worst Soviet and American cars ever made. They also become homeless in the Highlands after a series of catastrophes. But they still find time to put an infamous Pizza Express journey to the test with classic muscle cars. After receiving a text from Mr. Wilman, Richard, James and Jeremy modify their cars and head to the Outer Hebrides for one of their toughest challenges yet. At the very tip of Scotland, they must build a homemade floating bridge across the Hebrides that can carry them and their huge cars on a perilous journey to their final destination.
This new special from The Grand Tour will be available on Amazon Prime Video from Friday, July 30. Below you can see briefly what you can expect from Captain Slow, Hamster and The Orangutan.
